  • Singleplayer friendly

  • Cheap variant: No nether bricks or powdered snow required

Negatives

Instructions

Notes

  • A beacon with Regeneration I is needed to prevent starvation on Hard difficulty.

  • Roofless skirt variant: A beacon with Strength II is required to one-hit wither skeletons.

  • Requires a diamond sword enchanted with Sharpness/Smite V and Sweeping Edge III.

    • Roofless skirt variant: Smite V is required.

  • If there are players in the Overworld, the farm will not work unless the bridge is within the despawn sphere of at least one of the players.

  • The area below the farm is not required to be cleared, only space for the farm itself.

  • Roofless skirt variant: Farm speed is dependent on y-level. See "Heightmap" in https://discord.com/channels/1161803566265143306/1398840703647350785 for more info.

  • A proof-of-concept world download for a 1.16+ version without storage is included in the files.

  • RNG detection ranges can cause rare dead spots. See https://discord.com/channels/1161803566265143306/1412479052056625173/1412479052056625173 and https://discord.com/channels/1161803566265143306/1223049684122075146/1419520248411062364 for more info.

Build

  • Use of a nether mob switch while building is recommended.

  • Spawnproof the area within the despawn sphere of the AFK spot.

    • If the despawn sphere is entirely within a Soul Sand Valley, place 40 striders near the farm or on the nether roof for a "spawn potential" perimeter.

      • If using a spawn potential perimeter, other parts of the fortress within the despawn sphere will need to be spawnproofed.

  • Align the Nether schematic with a 2x1 crossroads structure within a Nether fortress, as shown in .

  • Place the Overworld schematic at the coordinates (X*8, Y+120, Z*8), where (X, Y, Z) are the coordinates of the glass "Portal Linking Block" at the bottom center of the schematic. The portal linking block may be buried.

  • Build the Overworld side prior to the Nether side to avoid accidentally generating portals in incorrect locations.

  • The Nether side iron golems will need to be pushed into place after being spawned.

  • See for instructions for Overworld boat and lava placement.

  • See for instructions for Nether boat placement.

Usage

  1. Ensure both the item collection and crafter storage are turned on by toggling the respective levers.

    • These systems can safely remain on when leaving the farm.

  2. Go to the AFK position on the Nether roof

  3. Attack the armor stand at an 11gt (0.55s) interval.

    • If using a beacon with Haste I, the attack interval can be 10gt (0.5s).
